Dr Ryan Kaplan
Clinical Psychologist
BSc (Hons) DPsych (Clinical) MAPS FACPA
Practice Locations: Bondi, Randwick, Maroubra
Over the course of my career as a clinical psychologist I have worked with hundreds of people to help them achieve better mental health. My guiding philosophy is that therapy should be both personalised and evidence-based, and underscored by a strong rapport. I strive to ensure that the therapy space is one in which clients feel supported, heard, and understood.
Psychology and psychotherapy are my passions. I work with individuals for both long term therapy and short term or time-limited treatment. My clients appreciate my relatable approach which is warm, empathic, and straight-up. I have over a decade of clinical experience assisting people with depression, anxiety and related difficulties including social anxiety, phobias, obsessive-compulsive disorders, body image problems, bipolar disorder, grief and loss, relationship issues, stress and work-related issues, burnout, anger, personality disorders, trauma, adjustment issues, and existential concerns.
I work with adults and young people from teens upwards. I also provide psychotherapy and counselling for executives and high net-worth individuals, drawing on my many years of experience in the corporate world. I have previously served on the Board of Directors of the Australian Clinical Psychology Associated (ACPA), and on the National Committee of the Australian Psychological Society's (APS) College of Clinical Psychologists. I am a Fellow of the Australian Clinical Psychology Association, Member of the Australian Psychological Society, and a Member of the International OCD Foundation.
